There’s always money in app development

Last summer Apple announced the fifty billionth app download since the App Store opened in 2008. For a little context, there are seven billion people on Earth. All those apps aren’t generated magically, though. They are being developed by digital entrepreneurs—a new breed of well-paid businessmen and women.

With Apple announcing the generation of $8 billion in revenue for developers and ITCareerFinder.com labeling the field as the No. 1 Best Computer Job for the Future, things look bright for app developers. There are currently more job openings than qualified applicants, with a 32 percent growth forecast in the next decade.
